Tom Gelbmann is the managing director of Gelbmann & Associates, a consulting practice focused on helping law firms and corporate law departments maximize value from investments in Information Technology. Tom has an extensive record of success in a wide array of projects working with executive management teams, drawing upon broad experience in information technology and administrative management in the legal technology market.

Tom has an extensive record of increasing the value of IT through effective management and leadership, serving in executive level positions with law firms with national and international scope. He has also served as a consultant to law firms, corporate legal departments and professional service organizations with a primary focus on strategy development, system architecture, and operational effectiveness of IT systems and services.

Tom has held the CIO position at two major law firms, leading the IT function to the successful achievement of enterprise goals through systems migration, network infrastructure renovation, implementation of practice support systems and enrichment of systems management functions. He has also conducted several market research projects on behalf of information and technology service providers to the legal sector.
